I am a 33 year old, single, full time Biomedical Engineering Technologist (BMET), and work at Alberta Children's Hospital in Calgary, AB, Canada. A BMET does all sorts of medical device support work, including repair, education, training, preventative maintenance and research. It's an interesting job, but one does need their hobbies. In that respect I'm a computer hobbiest who in recent years has taken an interest in 3D animation. I own and operate a small hobby business called Animatrix Services which deals with desktop video and animation.

In terms of what ails me, I'm a cancer-survivor having had my paternal grandfather pass away after a bout with testicular cancer and my maternal grandfather pass after a short fight with colorectal cancer. One of my sisters was also just diagnosed with cervical cancer, but our hopes are high that all will go well for her. I was recently investigated for the cause of some abdominal pain, with the cause being a combined case of some colo-rectal polyps and a bad infection with ulcerative H. Pylori bacteria in my stomach. The polyps were removed surgically with no spread to anywhere else (YEAH!) and the bacterial ulcers are being treated with other medication.
