Hi everyone, let me introduce my self. my real name is Wanda Gardner my nick is cookie0 i am 46 years old house wife my first cancer was at the age of 16. uterine cancer had to have a hysterectomy under went chemo and radiation i lost all my hair .it shattered my dreams of being able to have my own children it took me a very long time to deal with i still have a hard time dealing with when i hear sad things that happened to children. then i had colon cancer at the age of 28 then i had to go through it all over again . then again at 39 bladder cancer and then all over again i am in remission now been a most 7 years. i have to wear a pouch but it is not the end of the world glad that i have made it and that it has made me a stronger person. i have had 15 kinds of surgeries. i was able to find a good guy that i married that has gone through so much with me. he all ready had 2 children ellen was 5 at the time carl was 5 years old. they are all grown up now and have there own family. i am one of the lucky ones that get to see are children growing up. i am so thankful to be alive. so near my own death caused me to reconsider the way i live and appreciation it. my hobbies are needle work, camping, reading devotional books, listen to tapes and cd. i enjoy life so much more now each day is a gift and don't take things for granted what could have been gone tomorrow most of all life is precious. to day i am working with children at are church and do awana club on wensday nights i really enjoy it the children are all a blessing . we have 3 dogs, 3 birds, and a cat i am glad that my husband Gail found this cancer chat for me it helps to talk to other people that has had the same problem as i do. i also have other health problems i am diabetic, seizures, and have asthma.
