Kermit

Hi People: My name is Don Lachance and my nick name is dibby. Most people from where I come from in my younger years, never knew my real name was Don. So dibby I'll go by. I am 67 yrs old and I am a 5 yrs cancer survivor in May 98. I was born In Ottawa, Ontario, Cda. in 1931. I had throat cancer and recieved 36 radiation treatments and had 36 contineous hours of radiation wires, which were insterted in three tubes in my neck. Due to radiation exposure I lost my saliva glands and now have to eat just wet foods. But I probably eat better than most, because I can't eat any junk foods. I love pasta dishes and any and all kinds of soups. And my little leenie, who is my soul mate and wife is one heck of a cook. She makes me some soups that you can walk across'em.

I am a Korean Veteran (l950-51 and was Infantry. (P.P.C.L I.) and stayed in the forces for a period of 15 yrs. I am a music lover, oldies, Peri Como, Dinah Washington, good old "Frank", Billy Holiday, and many others, I'm a blue's fan at heart. I have a lovley wife and her name is leenie. We have been only married 10 yrs this past Dec 98. Best second time around for me. She was my main support and never missed one treatment from start to finish. My operation was called a Total Radical, which is the removal of the complete side of the neck. But I was very fortunate I did'ent lose my voice box. Thank You Lord. I have 4 children, Donnie 46, married and has two girls Milisa 22 , married and Sally 21 and single. and then there is Natalie 20, who is in her 3rd year at the Ottawa University and is studying Human Kenetic's. There's also Catherine 45, married, 4 children ages ranging from Sarha 19, Danny 16, Beth 5, Tommy 3. And finally Tommy 43, married , no children.Oh ya!! I forgot I have a little poodel her name is "Pebbels" in photo.

I am quite new to the pc world and it has opened up a whole new world for me. I found the cancer survivor line and have met the most loving, careing and understanding group of people that God found and put them there. Thanks gang your really something Special
