Eeeyore and Mseeeyore

Eeeyore and Family

My name is Clint Templeton, I was born in June 1969, and currently live in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. I have three beautiful children. Joseph is 7, Seth is almost 4, and Meghan is 2.5. Kristan, also known as Mseeeyore, is of course, my wife, you may recognize her as a regular in Cancer-Survivors. We have both made some very good and special friends while visiting Cancer-Survivors. It has proven to be a wonderful place to talk and unload news from doctors. Thank you to everyone that has let both of us unload.

In March 1992, after a series of "spells", I had a Grand Mal seizure, this led to the discovery three days later of a Grade 2 Astrocytoma, which is operable brain cancer. I underwent surgery followed by 5.5 weeks of radiation therapy. In January of 1992, we got the news that my wife was pregnant with what would have been our second child. During my treatments, my wife lost our twin boys at 21 weeks. My wife and I call that the year from hell, and with good cause. But nonetheless, after radiation they announced I appeared to be in remission. Things have gone well until the last 18 months.

In September of 1997, I had a second surgery to "debulk" the tumor due to uncontrollable seizures, and fatigue. The surgery went well but didn't get the desired effect. Now I am scheduled for surgery again March 5, 1998. This time they are planning a seizure surgery with a radical resection of the right side of the brain. They want to take out the majority of my frontal lobe and part of my temporal lobe. The tumor is set very deeply into the brain and is sending tendrils outwards. They will not be able to get all of it, but their hope is to stop the seizures and give a better quality of life.

Since I have not been able to work due to uncontrollable exhaustion, seizures and double vision, my wife works incessantly, which has given be loads of time on my hands. Recently I have discovered computers are very interesting, and I can be found online several times throughout the day.

Hugs to all our friends in Cancer-Survivors!!! You are truly wonderful and inspiring friends.
