MaryS lives in San Antonio, Texas, real name Maria E. Suarez, born May 8, 1956. Single mom, mother of three, oldest son Angel born in 1973, married to a wonderful girl, Thelma from the philippines, they have two daughters #1 born 1994 (Mioshi)and (Akemi) born 1997, making her a very proud grand-mother. Roxanne her only girl, born 1976, single, works and lives at home. Daniel, born 1982, atlethic, plays football for school. Daniel keeps her on her toes, having to attend meeting at school, attending the games, something that she enjoys very much.
She was diagnosed with Breast Cancer on Oct 13, 1995. First in her family. Infiltrating Intraductal Carcinoma of the left breast. She found the lump on self exam. Had bilateral mastectomy, bilateral by choice, on Oct 25, 1995 with reconstruction using her latissimus muscles (back muscles and skin). Had chemo-therapy 8 cylcles of Cytoxan, Adreamycin and 5FU; no radiation. Presently on remission, and taking Arimidex (anastrozole) 1mg every day. Profession Register Nurse Licensed in New York City, she is bilingual, Spanish and English, Spanish from Puerto Rico, but born and raised in New York City. Most of her sentences in the chat room ends with hehehehehehe, always looking forward in making someone laugh; but only when it is time to laugh!! She also assist the new comers with her knowledge as a Nurse, but most of all as a patient. She is currently writing a book about her experience as a professional care giver and as cancer patient, relating to assist others with what comes along with the diagnosis of cancer.
