Rita Petrie, also known on the IRC as "NYMom" from Yonkers New York, USA. Age 48, she is a survivor of breast cancer. She has 2 daughters aged 25 and 28. She is a legal secretary, and works in Manhatten. She is a lover of rock and roll & the golden oldies music, loves to dance and cook. She is also a big fan of ol' Mother Nature. She was an inspiration when I started on IRC, by sending me a cancer remedy known as Essiac. Her kindness to a total stranger was what made me realize how the distance between us really means very little in the scheme of things, and bonds of friendship and support can be accomplished over cyberspace
